Adedayo Adesina holds a distinguished legal background, having earned his law degree from the University of Jos and further enhancing his expertise with a Master of Laws in Banking and Finance Law from the University of London. In his role as Head of Projects, Finance, Maritime, and Dispute Resolution Groups, Adedayo brings a wealth of knowledge and exceptional skills to bear on clients’ work.

Adedayo is renowned for his profound understanding of the legal field, coupled with outstanding analytical, writing, and advocacy skills, which he consistently applies to deliver exceptional results to clients.

His extensive practical experience encompasses providing expert counsel on concessions, asset acquisitions, licensing, and forging strategic alliances and partnerships within the oil and gas, power, and maritime sectors. Adedayo played a pivotal role in advising both local and international companies during the privatization of the PHCN successor firms. He also demonstrated his prowess in reviewing and negotiating a wide spectrum of industry-standard agreements, including the Bulk Power Purchase Agreement, Vesting Contract, Gas Transportation Agreement, Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement, and related contracts.

Adedayo’s expertise extends to various legal domains, including arbitration (both domestic and international), litigation, and insolvency practice. He has successfully litigated complex commercial, environmental, employment, property, constitutional, criminal, and election petition disputes at various judicial levels in Nigeria.

As a seasoned professional, Adedayo has received numerous accolades, including a Certificate of Appreciation from the World Bank Group and the prestigious ‘Special Recognition Award’ for his contributions to capacity building on Ease of Doing Business Reforms in Nigeria which was bestowed upon him by His Excellency, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2019, 2021 and 2023.

Adedayo is an active member of esteemed professional organizations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, and the International Bar Association.
