Beatrice Kikelomo Kehinde is a Certified Librarian and an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Library and Information Science. She is also a fellow of the Young African Library Leaders Fellowship (YALLF). With many years of experience in the library and information profession, Beatrice has worked in all the departments in both academic and law libraries. Remarkably, her expertise spans heading a university library in an acting capacity, where she successfully developed and curated a university law library collection that achieved accreditation from both the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Council of Legal Education (CLE).
She is currently the librarian at Oyewole and Adesina, where she oversees the administration, collection development and provision of relevant library services within the law firm. At Oyewole and Adesina, Beatrice plays a key role in curating an extensive collection of legal materials and supports the firm’s attorneys with in-depth legal research and library services.
In addition to her excellent skills in the use of the Moys Classification Scheme, cataloguing resources and Koha Administration, Beatrice is passionate about legal librarianship and is committed to expanding her expertise in information literacy and knowledge management within the legal practice as well as improving access to legal resources by offering personalized research assistance and conducting training sessions to help patrons effectively utilize both physical and electronic resources.
Beatrice is an active member of the Nigerian Library Association (Lagos Branch) and the Nigerian Association of Law Libraries (Lagos Branch). She has a research publication in an international journal.
